Whitney Blakes Engineering staff has many years of experience and is ready to assist customers with all technical issues whether you are working on a new design or troubleshooting problems with an old design. We encourage direct Engineer to Engineer communications so that information is communicated accurately and as quickly as possible so your new products get to market quickly and successfully. We believe our experience in cable design, coiled cord design, cable assemblies, injection molding and custom cord design is amongst the best in the industry. Our product design and process knowledge includes but is not limited to single and multi- conductor cables from 32 Awg to 8AWG wires using any of the following conductors:

We offer a variety of shielding methods and materials. Whether you are shielding individual wires, twisted pairs or groups of wires or an overall shield, if you are not sure what type of shield you need for your application let our experienced design team assist you. Common shielding materials include:

•Laminated Aluminum tapes
•Laminated Copper tapes
•Braided copper or copper alloy wires
•Semiconductive Thermoplastics


A large selection of jacket materials are available. Depending on the environment your product will be exposed to, our engineers will assist you in selecting the best solution. Though black is our most common color, we can match any color under the sun in thermoplastic materials. We can provide high gloss or dull matte finishes in diameters ranging from .043” up to .800”. Listed below are some of the common jacket materials we use.

Our experienced technical staff is very knowledgeble relative to industry standards. Many of our products are constructed and or tested in accorance with Military and Federal specifications, UL, CUL, CSA, SAE, ASTM, IPC and ANSI standards.
